David Rich is an intrepid writer and photographer, braving blizzards, monsoons, desert heat and State Department travel advisories to visit the world's most out-of-the-way places from the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan to the wilds of Borneo and the Harley-Davidson Rally Week in Sturgis, South Dakota. David retired in his forties to become a full-time international traveler, an occupation preferable to former professions of law professor and trial lawyer with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, from which he’s "mostly recovered." He pursued freelance travel writing, photography and exotic travel for eighteen years, living in more than 140 countries. However, with 193 countries in the United Nations (and 202 at the Olympics) he’s barely halfway through the list. Until recently buying a home near Arizona’s Deer Valley Airport and becoming a private pilot he’d been happily homeless.
